Well, a ton of you were interested enough to invest in my JTBD Masterclass last month.
Thank you!
For those of you who didnโt, I realize it's not a trivial investment. But here's what they got, though. They got a set of comprehensive and well-tested AI prompts that create the most complete, unbiased and precise Jobs to be Done frameworks (based on - and builds on - the Outcome-Driven Innovation model) you can imagine:
Discovering the Jobs a Solution Supports
Discovering the Core Jobs of an Industry
Narrow and Broaden the Scope of a Job
Discovering the End User for a Job
Discover the Job Contexts
Discovering Situational and Complexity Factors
Discovering Related Jobs
Discovering Emotional and Social Jobs
Discovering Financial Metrics of Purchase Decision-Makers
Discovering the Ideal States for a Job
Discovering the Potential Root Causes Preventing the Ideal State (workshop stimulator)
Defining the Job Map
Defining the Success Metrics
These accelerators will enable you to bypass traditional JTBD - or Outcome-Driven Innovation - qualitative interviews; which is the most proprietary and time-consuming part of the Jobs to be Done research process. Because of this, you can reformulate your research priorities on the fly without worrying about increasing your budget and potentially being embarrassed by getting yourself into a corner.
That embarrassment will turn into badassery once everyone realizes they can't mess with you...because you're prepared for any situation ๐
Here's an example ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ผ๐๐๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ from the CRM catalog I've been working on. I can produce thousands of these per hour:
Minimize the time it takes to recognize the digital engagement patterns of each segment, e.g., social media activity, online shopping behavior, etc.
So, what are people saying?
"I have had a look at Michael Boysen's Masterclass. It is really very good, so good in fact, that I am adopting the Jobs-to-be-one prompts for my own fuzzy front-end of innovation work."
~ ๐๐ซ. ๐๐ซ๐๐ก๐๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ - Former Strategyn
"I like the idea of combining the "ideal state" prompts to get to the problem-space statement with the "root cause" statements to help understand the context and the potential problems that could occur while doing the job. This could be a powerful way to use AI to get a big picture of the job, its outcomes, and its obstacles all within one project."
~ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง ๐๐๐ซ๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ - Researcher, Strategyn
"I got the chance to play with Mike's prompts, and I quickly began to doubt my own abilities. I found things my interviews did not uncover, but should have!"
~ Very experienced (anonymous) former ODI practitioner
Now, what the existing students are about to get is a weekly (schedule permitting) live workshop right there inside my Academy. Thatโs right, Iโve just spent the past week migrating off of the array of solutions I was using because I wanted to get the entire job done on a single platform. If you enroll in this Masterclass, you can participate in the live workshops too (and theyโll be recorded for people that canโt attend).
Imagine being able to ask questions, pose challenges, or collaborate with your peers without having to worry about following someoneโs rules. I donโt have rules. You can experiment with what Iโve done and make Jobs to be Done your own. Youโll have the source code!
I may introduce monthly challenges to the group to see what they can change that drives the most impact; faster time to value, more precision, less friction with stakeholders, etc. Thoughts?
I've also dramatically reduced the price on this masterclass, which is a crying shame because of all the work it required. I had decided to keep it at $1497 knowing few would be takers and then take it off the market at the end of the year. But, Iโve had a change of heart. The base course is now $500 if you use the payment plan (no access until complete).
However, if you pay up front, youโll get it for $400. And even better, I have a discount code for 25% off of the $400 price until the end of the year (2023) since you faithfully read my blog (Iโm making everyone else work hard for the code). Now donโt go sharing this with anyone, but the code is โ41FC96E3โ โฆ without the quotes.
I assume you donโt want to see the sales page again, so hereโs a direct link to the course in my Academy. If you scroll to the bottom youโll see all of the lessons and there are a few freebies so you can see what youโll get.
Donโt forget the code!
Letโs all get to customer outcomes faster, and more cheaply everyone!
Cheers!
Mike

Hi Mike, just bought the $10 for job abstraction (narrow and board). The more I read your posts, the more I donโt feel like I am ready to use your services. The reason is I have no idea if I can handle the AI prompt and I canโt understand the difference of each service clearly (and outcome driven innovation ) and worry so much I canโt utilize your work. I think I am not your best segment. :)
I am a paying customer of cxl.com, section4.com for remote learning.
