A good number of people read my blog, and I have a high open rate. However, I don’t get a lot of comments or questions. So, I wonder how important it is for each of you to get your specific questions asked and answered. I have a few options to enable this. Doing it here on Substack is probably the best one at the moment.
It would look like this: I would open a new thread each week on a set day and time. Since it would be asynchronous, it gives everyone - regardless of time zone - the opportunity to participate (and it gives me time to think about how to respond!) without having to be there live. It would also preserve the collective knowledge of the community so more people can learn from it over time.
It’s just a thought. I don’t want a bunch of open discussion threads sitting there with no discussion. But I’m happy to carve out time each week to help those that want to learn more about JTBD and how they can apply to their projects, their strategies, etc.
It looks like I'll be giving this a go. Thanks for all of the responses. I probably won't start this until after the holidays. I'm not even sure I have time to get another blog post out before the end of the year :)
Count me in, Mike. Your work is valuable because more than showing and explaining you are being a culture around jobs and needs that is certainly relevant.
HI I would love it! I'm also considering getting one of your paid subscriptions but wanted to ask what kind of exclusive models and artefacts are there before choosing which plan to buy. Not sure where I can ask this so I'll leave it here. Thank you.
Will there be some sort of class for ODI in future? I'm currently a bit stuck between Desired Outcomes stage and Segmentation. I'm not too confident with the desired outcome statements we've produced and also not sure how to do the segmentation to tell why segment of customers have different unmet needs. Is it by adding the complexity factor into the survey?
Would really appreciate it if you can point me to some resources! Or do you do any consultancy services?
Also is this thread the best way to get in touch with you?

New here and would love to learn more about JTBD from you and others
Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks in advance
That would be great - I'm in!
Good idea, count me in!

Yes please!
Great initiative!
I would love it Mike.
I'm overdue in following up on our last conversation Ray. 😉

Most of my content is free for now, including models.
